TELUS World of Science is currently undergoing a major envelope retrofit while remaining open. Thousands of square feet of plywood hoarding are required to allow visitors safe passage through the construction site to the existing building for the duration of construction. Rather than sending this to a landfill, PUBLIC will be reusing them as the primary building block of a plywood space frame over a new outdoor performance space. The project will showcase what can be done with small lumber.
