






For their re-opening splash, our loyal collaborators at The Cultch (Vancouver East Cultural Centre) asked us to channel a little Moulin Rouge, a little risqué vegetable poetry and some East Van-style glamour. We created a wordmark, invitations for mail and email, posters, cards, web graphics and other fancy bits of ephemera. The printed work is a combination of techniques in order to create a luxurious feel on a tight budget. For the invitations, we always start with the envelope—what is the right choice which is readily available and what size is it? This determines the size and shape of the invitation. For this, we chose a richly textured stock embellished with bronze-gold foil.
